Construit en amont des deux édifices macédoniens (SD 43 et SD 40) pour les protéger des chutes de rochers, ce magnifique mur est construit selon les techniques caractéristiques du IVe siècle av. J.-C. : appareil isodome régulier en brêche et contreforts intérieurs (visibles sur cette photo prise lors de travaux de restauration).

Le mur a subi des dégâts par suite et fut réparé de façon sommaire, avec des remplois, dans sa partie droite.

Built upstream of the two Macedonian buildings (SD 43 and SD 40) to protect them from falling rocks, this magnificent wall was built using techniques typical of the 4th century BC: a regular isodomic masonry and internal buttresses (visible in this photo taken during restoration work).
The wall suffered damage thereafter and was repaired in a primary manner, with reused blocks, on the right-hand side.
